Avapa Energy is rooted in the collaboration of two professionals over more than 10 years
In 2008 Alberto starts Avapa Sas, a renewable energy advisory company, and enters into the share capital of a larger investment fund with main focus on renewable energies development, and structuring of impact investments, establishing partnerships with a London-based infrastructure fund with 10 billion USD under management (500 million in renewables), and a Swiss-based investment firm with 2+ billion USD under management.
Together, Gabriele and Alberto have assisted the funds in the development, ownership and operation of a feed-in-tariff (FIT) based 60 MWp solar PV portfolio in Italy, 45 MWp in Japan (from 2013), a pipeline of 150 MW projects in Taiwan (from 2016), as well as developing simulation and control technologies for an energy storage system (ESS) for the use of batteries of various technologies in conjunction with renewable energy generators, with a first deployment of the technology planned for various sites in the southern part of Germany.
